Hats are indeed an uprising trend. By wearing a hat you could be proving a fashion statement or fighting for a cause. Hats are useful for hiding bad hair days. Since the beginning of time taking your hat off when entering a room was a sign of respect. Not trying to throw tradition out the window, but doing so is outdated.

We’re in a new day an age where hats are just as much of a statement as the president making a speech.  By no means am I saying that respect is outdated. Respect is one of the most useful skills to have in life. But, I don’t want to have to take my hat off if I’m having a bad hair day or standing for something believe in. Here at Reidland Middle School taking hats off is a MUST; no matter the cause. I want to change that for the current and future students of Reidland Middle School. So if you’re reading this article, please pass on the following the attached poll for hats or no hats.  Let us know what you think.
